About Doni
Doni Bee is an innovative and dynamic musician.
His musical journey and career is long and varied. Starting piano lessons at age 6, adding clarinet and violin in middle school, choir, concert and marching band, and jazz band in high school, where he won numerous jazz awards and continuing studying other instruments.
Attending Berklee college of music in Boston, studying jazz keyboards, and completing a Masters Degree of music at San Jose State, where he gigged in the Bay Area as a Classical and Jazz musician.
He was house pianist at Cafe Stritch from 2014-2016. He also played in rock groups and with numerous singer songwriters in the Bay Area and Los Angeles, including electronic and contemporary music and works as a studio musician. He has a long career as a music educator, working with hundreds of students from children to Adults.
Many of his students have gone into music or the arts. Instruments that Doni teaches are: piano, keyboards, saxophone, woodwinds, guitar, and trumpet, and in addition he teaches music theory, composition, song-writing, practice techniques, performance practices, and music history.
