About Chloe O.
With a childhood split between the mountains of Queenstown, New Zealand and the misty Puget Sound of Olympia, Washington, Chloe O’Brien brings a sense of duality to her music, blending Grunge, Folk, and Electronica into soundscapes that explore both the tenderness and toughness of the human experience. After moving to the US as an adolescent, Chloe began writing songs and playing guitar, immersing herself in the Pacific Northwest alt-rock scene before studying songwriting at Berklee College of Music. She has released music under several monikers, including Chloe Jane and Neia Jane, whose 2019 album Magic & Honey and subsequent singles amassed over 8 million listens across platforms. Since launching Chloe Echo in 2024, she has continued to evolve her sound, bringing together her diverse influences into something uniquely her own. Now based in Los Angeles, Chloe is an independent artist, songwriter, producer, and music educator. She has collaborated with artists including Kimbra and Agnez Mo, while writing and producing for emerging artists such as Nikki Hahn, Plunki, Jess Meilman, and Maggie Ryan. She also teaches songwriting for Berklee Online and coaches students in voice, guitar, and music production, with a focus on supporting women and gender-expansive musicians.
